SUPPLIER DIVERSITY SUBCONTRACTING AWARD
Houston, TX - October 14, 2008 - CORESTAFF Services was awarded the “Supplier Diversity Subcontracting Award” from our client, PG&E, for demonstrating improved supplier diversity percentages and our mentor-protégé relationship with minority tier two supplier, Amerit Consulting. The award was presented in San Francisco; CEO Steve Drexel, Vice President & General Manager Brad Beckner, Account Director Richard Weeks and Support Services Director Joi Bishop were all on hand to receive this prestigious honor.
“CORESTAFF has been a long-time participant in PG&E’s supplier diversity program,” said Steve Drexel. “In 2000, 25 percent of staffing business was distributed among minority suppliers under our managed services program at PG&E. In 2007, 55 percent of PG&E’s staffing spend was awarded to minority suppliers.”
Our mentor-protégé partnership with Amerit Consulting, a disabled veteran-owned staffing firm, is held up as an example of our leadership in the supplier diversity world. CORESTAFF has provided Amerit with access to our systems and processes to give them the means through which they were able to serve an organization as large as PG&E. The result is enabling Amerit to grow professionally and expand beyond its geographical footprint.
