STEVEN DREXEL INTERVIEWED
ON FOX TELEVISION HOUSTON

Houston, TX - October 3, 2008 - Steven Drexel, president and CEO of CORESTAFF Services, was interviewed on Fox Television's Houston affiliate providing commentary on the economy, U.S. and Texas employment and Hurricane Ike's impact on the Gulf Coast.

Drexel commented on the surprisingly high decrease in nonfarm payroll employment to 159,000. There were no indications that this number would be so high. “This is pretty significant,” said Drexel.

When asked why employers are cutting back so much Drexel responded that employers were expecting a pickup in the economy in the second half of 2008 or early 2009. With the realization of the credit crisis and other factors supporting a longer recession situation, he believes employers are retrenching and that the employment cuts are very broad-based and across all industries.

Drexel believes the economic bailout will help by putting a “floor” underneath some of the areas that are creating this spiraling downward affect.

Drexel also commented on how fortunate Houston has been and that employment in Texas grew 250,000 jobs over the previous year – more than the next five states combined. “Houston is an oasis,” said Drexel.
